Earlier this month, teenagers caught a 13-year-old girl at a Romford mall, according to the victim’s mother. The girl, who will remain anonymous, said she was outside the Premiere Cinema at the Mercury Mall and was approached by three boys who were with two girls on May 7 around 3:30 p.m.
Her mother told MyLondon, “These guys approached her and then asked her for her Snapchat. She refused and said, ‘I won’t give it to you.’ They kept asking and she refused. A boy got a little unpleasant and pushed himself in. Against her, he touched her chest on top of his clothes.
“He pushed her back and sat on top of her and held her. Then one of her friends took off her pants and trousers in front of her face. One of my daughter’s friends started to get so scared. He ran to the police to get one or two, so he called the police.

The girl’s mother told MyLondon that her daughter had managed to scratch one, but was unable to take it for DNA testing, as she only found out three weeks later. He admitted that he only found out due to a more recent altercation after the incident.
Speaking of the effect on her daughter, she said, “She’s fine, she’s a strong girl. She didn’t tell me because she was worried she’d stop dating her friends. I’m just surprised she didn’t say that. I. I was a little upset but I was comforting her and her friends because now it turned out she was very upset.
“I noticed that she changed her way of dressing, so I think it had a psychological effect on her. I told her it’s not her fault, she can wear whatever she wants. The guys here are wild, it’s a nightmare out there right now. “
In a statement, Metropolitan Police said: “We are investigating a report of sexual assault by touching children, which was reported to have taken place at Mercury Mall, Romford on the afternoon of May 7. No arrests have been made. “Investigations continue.”
