Little Fynn Salter, who was seriously injured after being hit by a car on Sunday afternoon, has woken up from the induced coma.
The three-year-old was playing on the road near a shared apartment complex in Innaloo where he lives with his mother Amy Salter around 3:45 p.m. when the tragedy occurred.
On Tuesday night, Fynn’s mother broke the good news that her son had awakened from a coma and was “breathing alone.”

Ms. Salter thanked the public on Facebook for their support during the heartbreaking moment for the young family.
“We are still evaluating the recovery path ahead,” he wrote.
“At the moment, Fynn is slowly coming out of the induced coma and breathing alone.”
On Sunday, the 29-year-old single mother was horrified as a black Mitsubishi Outlander entered the entrance and knocked Fynn down.
“He wasn’t more than 3 feet away… Maybe two… And I still couldn’t reach him when I saw that car,” he said Monday.
He received serious injuries, including a fractured skull, and was placed in an induced coma at Perth Children’s Hospital.

Friends have created a GoFundMe page to help Ms. Salter pay her medical bills, saying the child’s mother is “in shock” after the terrible test.
Since then, he has raised more than $ 10,000 from his $ 30,000 goal.
“Amy is currently in shock and is also being treated. Amy is Fynn’s only provider and her mother is hardworking and affectionate. In this current and unpredictable situation she will not be able to work and cover current and future medical expenses.” is indicated in a publication accompanying the resource.
“I ask all my friends, family and businesses to go out of their way to help raise as much money as we can to help this little family at this extremely heartbreaking and difficult time.”
