Asus unveiled the ROG Phone 6 and 6 Pro yesterday. The main differences between them are that the Pro has 18 GB of RAM (vanilla reaches 16 GB) and comes configured with 512 GB of storage, in addition there is a secondary OLED screen of 2 inches on the back. The vanilla phone only has an RGB illuminated logo on the back.
This screen is the first step in the video disassembly WekiHome. One ribbon cable powers the logo lights, another connects the NFC coil. It just gets more interesting from here.
The Asus ROG Phone 6 has RGB lighting for the ROG logo on the back
The ROG Phone 6 has been designed as a gaming phone from scratch. The 6,000 mAh battery is split into two separate cells, allowing the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1-based motherboard to be inserted between them.
The motherboard is in the middle, so it can be optimally cooled with the AeroActive Cooler 6 plug-in
This puts you in the optimal position to cool it down with the AeroActive Cooler 6, which really helps keep the chipset running at full speed in X mode. See our review for details on the thermal and cooling performance of the AeroActive Cooler 6. AeroActive complement.
Disassembly begins shortly after 4 minutes after the video. Before there are some landmarks and a demonstration of the Cooler 6 and the Kunai Gamepad 3.
