Ubisoft announces Tom Clancy’s The Division Resurgence

Ubisoft has announced Tom Clancy’s The Division Resurgence, a new free entry to its series of looting shots for smartphones that will be fully launched in 2023.

Like its older console and PC siblings, Resurgence will be a third-person shooter role-playing game set in an open world, with a fresh story campaign that will offer a “new perspective on key events in history.”

Once again, you play as an ally of the Homeland Strategic Division in a post-crisis America, following a deadly outbreak of viruses and the collapse of the government. News!

A Resurgence press release mentions both individual and cooperative play in a variety of PVE activities.

Before the full release of Resurgence next year, a closed alpha version of the game will be available that you can sign up for now to try it out.

Today, Ubisoft confirmed that The Division 2 would get a fifth year of new content and support by 2023. At the same time, it also noted that there was a spin-off for mobile, and here it is.

In addition, Ubisoft also has another game in the The Division franchise. Heartland will be a free entry to the series for consoles and PCs, though we don’t know yet when it will arrive. Maybe we’ll find out more at the Ubisoft Forward event just announced in September?
