A Labrador MHA is excited to see the completion of paving the Trans-Labrador Highway, but says work to connect Labrador is far from over.
The highway was first announced in 1973, and governments have carried out some aspects of the project ever since. The last sidewalk lick was put on yesterday.
Labrador West MHA Jordan Brown says the scale of the project has been massive.

He says about $ 1 billion has been launched since 1997. He calls it a “mega project” that people didn’t even know was happening.
While the paving that is being finished is an important step, Brown says the work should not stop here. He says there hasn’t been a single shovel of earth turned to connect northern Labrador. He says the road is not complete until he reaches Nain.
