A motorcyclist has been seriously injured in a collision on Highway 401 in Ajax, according to police.
It passed into the westbound lanes of the freeway on Westney Road.
The Ontario Provincial Police Sergeant. Kerry Schmidt said a 25-year-old man riding a motorcycle at high speeds crashed into the back of an SUV.
The motorcyclist was taken to a trauma center with fatal injuries.
Schmidt said motorists should expect delays in the area for the investigation.
