The Gray Bruce Health Unit organizes clinics during the summer to help residents receive up-to-date vaccinations from the Covid vaccine.
The GBHU says they will conduct these clinics in various communities throughout the season, as they say getting a vaccine and keeping up to date with vaccines is the best defense against infection and serious virus outcomes.
Dr Rim Zayed, GBHU’s medical consultant, says summer is the perfect time to stay up to date as early indications and data suggest another wave of cases is possible this autumn.
“Public health strongly recommends that all eligible residents be up to date with their Covid-19 vaccines to ensure they have the best protection available against serious illness and death and to help maintain the progress that has been made. in the fight against Covid-19, ”says Zayed. .
The GBHU has also partnered with Go-Vaxx to offer complementary clinics during the summer and fall to parts of the region that have lower vaccine absorption.
