E3 Games Convention will return in 2023

After three years of interruption and pause, the E3 video game industry trade event will return in 2023.

Led by the company behind PAX and Comicon, ReedPop, E3 2023 will be the first time the convention has been held in person since 2019, largely due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

E3 was held online in 2021 after being canceled in 2020, but was canceled again this year, with Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest taking its place last month.

E3 2023 will be held by ReedPop along with E3 organizers, the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) at the Los Angeles Convention Center, as it has been in the past.

“We are delighted to be returning to E3 as a face-to-face event with ReedPop, a world leader in the production of pop culture events,” said Stanley Pierre-Louis, President and CEO of ESA.

“The last three years we have confirmed that E3 convenes our industry like no other event. ReedPop brings world-class talent and a great understanding of the video game industry, which will serve to enhance the E3 experience for years to come. “

“It is a great honor and privilege for ReedPop to take responsibility for returning E3 in 2023,” said ReedPop President Lance Fensterman.

“With the support and endorsement of ESA, we will build a world-class event to serve the global gaming industry in new and broader ways than we already do at ReedPop through our portfolio of events and venues. world leading websites “.

The 2023 showcase will feature face-to-face and online components and will welcome both consumers and the media.

Media registration has been streamlined and additional security measures have been put in place as a result of leaks from previous years. Journalists and the media will be able to request the event at the end of the year.

Details about confirmed developers and attending attendees, event schedules, travel guides, and hotels will be shared in the coming months.
