Those in charge of some of the most important gaming events in the U.S. will now be directing the biggest of all. ReedPop, organizers of the various PAX events, as well as the New York Comic Con and Star Wars Celebration, has been selected to produce next year’s E3. In a statement, the Electronic Software Association said it was looking for its long-awaited return to the LA Convention Center in the second week of June 2023.
ESA had already promised that E3 would return as a hybrid event next year, after COVID-19 interrupted plans for the past two years. ReedPop may also have to answer questions about how best to revitalize an event, as famous as the main showcase of the gaming industry, whose influence may now be in decline. After all, Sony and Nintendo have reduced their involvement over the years, preferring to launch the product through their own channels.
