A Kelowna driver captured a disturbing incident in the dashboard video this week.
The driver who followed the van did not want his name to be released, but he felt enough about what he saw and wanted to share it publicly.
The incident happened on July 4 around 6:50 a.m. in Pandosy St. and Francis Ave. The video shows a driver swerving into another lane, seemingly pointing at a crow and hitting it.
The video also shows two other crows taking off from the right side of the truck just before it deviates.
“Not to say it’s dangerous to decide to deviate into a turning lane, and I mean there’s no indication of driving like a reckless idiot. I mean, if you did and there were cops around, I’m sure aturarien? ” said the reader who submitted the video.
“He went through a full lane. It’s not like he just drifted, he went right into the turning lane, it’s just bad driving. And much less killing an animal for no reason. He was driving perfectly straight all over. the weather”.
Castanet sent the video to the RCMP for his opinion.
“I’ve seen the clip and I can say that this driver’s actions to do everything possible to intentionally damage wildlife are shocking and unacceptable,” spokesman Chris Terleski said.
“Aggressive driving like this endangers other road users and, beyond the obvious consequences, a driver could face several potential fines under the Motor Vehicle Act even driving without due caution Terleski added.
