Visitor restrictions have been imposed on St. Waterford Hospital. John’s after a fire at the facility yesterday.
Eastern Health says the fire broke out in one of the hospital’s hospitalization units around 5 p.m.
There were no injuries.
Patients in the affected unit have been transferred to other areas of the hospital and relatives have been notified.
At this time, people are being asked not to visit the facility. An update on the situation is expected today.
