Nick Kyrgios ’mother has opened up about what it’s like to sit in her player’s box and has revealed why she can never watch her matches, even when she’s not attending.
Speaking on the Today Show on Tuesday morning after her son’s remarkable career in the Wimbledon final, Nill Kyrgios said she didn’t even see Nick’s clash with Novak Djokovic because she gets too nervous.

“I didn’t really watch the match,” he told Nine Network. “I have not seen any of his matches.
“I slept really well … In fact, I saw him go to the track. I love, you know, to see him walk around Wimbledon, just that atmosphere. I love to see him get on the track and see the reaction of the spectators.
“I looked at it until I thought when they started to warm up and I said, ‘Good luck.’ And I went to bed.”
Kyrgios got a service from the great Australian tennis player Rennae Stubbs during the final after she scolded her surroundings for her lack of spirits.
“Say something!” he shouted at one point. “It’s 0-40. My ten! It’s 0-40!”
Stubbs tweeted, “Honestly, this behavior of yelling at your box because they’re not doing what you want, is really more than ridiculous.
“THEY CAN’T READ YOUR MIND! Yeah Al that sounds pretty crap to me, Looks like BT aint for me either.
Talking about what it’s like to sit in your child’s box during a game, Nill said blatantly, “You don’t want to be in your box.
“Not really, because you really don’t know when to stand up, when to clap, and when to shout.
“We’ve been there and it’s not a good experience.”

Kyrgios’ father, Giorgos, and sister Halimah, sat in his box for the two weeks at Wimbledon, along with his girlfriend Costeen Hatzi.
However, Nill chose to stay home in Australia with Kyrgios’ brother Christos.

Speaking to the Sydney Morning Herald last week, Nill explained the anxiety he feels when he sees Nick play.
“In fact, I haven’t seen him play in a long time,” he said.
“I can’t expose myself to this anxiety. I get into a very strange panic. Over the years, I’ve been through a lot of things.
“In fact, it got to a point where I sought help. I was seeing a psychologist for six months. I wasn’t in a good place. My level of anxiety at seeing Nick was so high.”
Nill is also struggling with her kidneys and is booked for an operation to receive one from her husband.
