Giants pitcher Joc Pederson offered his version of the story on Saturday after his fantasy football dispute with Reds quarterback Tommy Pham came to light after a pre-match clash against Friday’s Reds. .
Pham was eliminated from the competition after slapping the Giants’ gardener over a disagreement between the two in a fantastic football league last year. On Saturday morning, Pham told the media that he received a three-game suspension for his actions, which he said happened because Pederson was “messing with my money.”
Pederson was asked about the suspension following the Giants’ loss to the Reds on Saturday, and told reporters he had not spoken to Pham since leaving the fantastic league in week 4 or 5. After confirming reporters that there was “a lot of money involved,” Pederson offered to share a group text exchange with the then-Father that took place in a group league talk with the Padres players.
Pederson said the exchange began after he shared a GIF mocking the Fathers, prompting a response from Pham.

“Game, I don’t know you well enough to make jokes like this,” Pham said of Pederson. “It had to be all fun and games. No resentment. I’m sorry if you took it that way,” Pederson replied.
Pederson also revealed details of the GIF, which included three weightlifting with the Giants, Dodgers, and Padres overlapping logos. The GIF also showed the type of Parents collapsing under the weight of his dumbbell.
Pederson told reporters that the GIF was intended to be “light” and that he did not want to offend anyone. From Pham’s recent comments, however, his story may have another twist, as it looks like the couple could have a long way to go before they actually repair the fences.
“I slapped the game. He said some s — I don’t realize it. I had to tackle it,” Pham told The Mercury News on Saturday.
