There were no injuries, but the damage is significant after a car crashed into a house on Hickey’s Road and St. Thomas’ Line in Paradise.
The car veered off Hickey’s Road and crossed the front lawn of the property, crashing into the front deck of the two-level house and crashing into the living room window before resting.
At the time of the accident, the owner was washing his vehicle on the roadway and rushed through the house to offer assistance to the driver who was shaken by the incident, but otherwise is fine.
The owner tells VOCM News that his niece had been sitting on the couch by the same window the same morning.
It seems as if a mechanical problem could have been a factor that contributed to the accident.
The occupants of the house have been displaced by the damage caused to the structure.
