WA Health reports a total of 6,880 new cases at 6pm last night. There are currently 34,375 active cases in Western Australia.

As of 6 p.m. last night, there were 320 people with COVID-19 in the hospital, 10 in the ICU.

Unfortunately, today’s report includes six new deaths, dating back to June 26, that were reported yesterday to WA Health: a woman in her 90s, two men and two women in her 80s and a man in about 60.

Notes

  1. These data are based on the residential zip code of each case. The case may have an isolation address in another region.
  2. The remaining reported daily cases (118) do not yet have an assigned region. The data will continue to be reconfigured as this information is verified.

Of the 6,880 cases, 2,548 were confirmed by PCR testing, the remaining 4,332 were rapid self-reported positive antigen tests.

A total of 8,300 PCR tests were performed yesterday at public or private pathology clinics.

WA has reported 974,334 cases since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
