The fertility journey of Heather Rae Young and Tarek El Moussa yielded exciting results: the “Selling Sunset” star is pregnant with her first child.
The couple confirmed the news to People on Wednesday, telling the magazine it was a “huge shock” because they were in the middle of IVF treatments.

“We didn’t expect that. We had just gone through IVF. We had ice embryos. We had a plan,” the Selling Sunset star shared. “I think when you least expect it and there is no stress in your life, the world just brought us what it was supposed to be.
“I’m very excited that it happened that way.”

Although the couple has been documenting their fertility struggles for months, Young, 34, admitted she was happy to be the stepmother of the children of the “Flip or Flop” star with ex-wife Christina Haack, Taylor , aged 11, and Brayden, aged 6.
“But as your love grows more and more and you fall in love more with someone and build that life together, I started imagining having a child with Tarek,” Young explained. “I started thinking I just wanted to create something with the man I’m in love with.”

Moussa, 40, added: “I’m obsessed with my kids. They’re my whole thing, so having another one is the icing on the cake. I’m very excited.”
The reality stars revealed that they did a test to find out the sex of their baby, but will not share the results until they organize a revelation party in a few weeks.

“Tarek thinks she’s a girl. I don’t know yet. I just want a happy, healthy baby,” she said. “We already have Tay and Bray, so I’d be happy with either. But I secretly want a little mini Heather.
Young and El Moussa met in July 2019 and got married in October 2021 at a hotel near Santa Barbara, California.
