Disgraced actor Armie Hammer, who is said to be “totally broken,” has received financial support from a list A star, it is claimed.
Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr. has been secretly supporting Armie Hammer since his rapid downfall in his career, it was reported today.
The claim comes after Hammer, whose fortune plummeted last year when several women accused him of emotional and sexual abuse, was discovered in his new job: selling time-sharing vacations to tourists from from an office in the Cayman Islands.
Ara, Vanity Fair reports that Downey Jr. intervened last year to pay for Hammer to spend nearly six months in an expensive Florida rehab center called Guest House.
The installation “cater[s] in particular to customers who have high-stress or high-visibility lifestyles, such as business executives, politicians and entertainment professionals, ”according to its website.
It’s unclear to what extent the two stars knew each other before Hammer’s fall, but Downey Jr. has its own public history of addiction and recovery.
In the past he had also offered similar help to Mel Gibson when his career plummeted due to alleged misconduct.

Screenshots of messages from women who appeared to portray Hammer as cannibal fetishes also surfaced on social media.
One woman accused Hammer of rape, which led to an LAPD investigation that has since been concluded without charge.
Hammer, who was married at the time of many of the alleged incidents, has flatly denied all allegations, claiming that any interaction with any woman was consensual.
But the actor’s consequences were swift and he fled Hollywood to the Cayman Islands, where his ex-wife Elizabeth Chambers lives with his two children.
Now, the star is “totally broken” and sells time-sharing properties from an office cubicle.
“He works at the complex and sells timeshare. He’s working in a cubicle,” a source said Variety. “The reality is he’s totally broken and he’s trying to fill the days and make money to support his family.”
Hammer was initially spotted outside the timeshare sales office in late June after reports he was working there.
A photo shows the actor dressed in a blue polo shirt while working in the office, and viewers reported that he was sitting with a partner and checking the price of a unit.
