The Halo Infinite cooperative network test is now live

The cooperative test flight of the Halo Infinite network campaign is finally live, the developer 343 Industries announced on Friday. As part of the test, you can play the campaign with up to three of your friends, and the game supports cross-play on Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, and PC. The test also includes a mission replay feature, which was not included with the game at launch.

Before you jump into Zeta Halo with your friends, you should know that you will start the campaign from scratch in this test. Any progress you have made in the retail version of the game will not be maintained, and everything you achieve in the test will not be shown in your retail version either. But if you’ve been playing the Halo Infinite campaign for a long time, starting over with your friends could be a fun reason to revisit the game.

343 Industries detailed what you can expect from the test in an extensive blog post last month, and the developer also has a dedicated flight support page on their website. Please note that Steam players will only be able to test the test if they have received an invitation.

343 Industries originally aimed to launch the test the week of July 11, and although this happened technically, it’s still a little later than you might expect. The test ends Aug. 1 at 1 p.m. ET. We don’t know exactly when the cooperative campaign or mission replay will be officially released, but 343 Industries said it will target “late August” in a roadmap published in April. Time for split-screen cooperation was included in this roadmap as “TBD”.
