Teams are investigating a homicide in downtown Duncan.
An RCMP spokesman confirmed to CHEK News that the incident in an area in front of the Canada Service Center building on Jubilee Street was a homicide.
The spokesman declined to provide further information, but said there was no risk to the public.
On Saturday morning, several officers were seen in the area and had cordoned off parts of Jubilee Street and Kenneth Street near Government Street.
Several pieces of evidence could be seen placed in front of the Canada Service Center building on Jubilee Street.
A witness told CHEK News that they heard sirens around 3 a.m. Saturday and that several police vehicles were around the scene around 6 p.m. Another witness described seeing “a lot of blood” on the sidewalk of Jubilee Street.
