Manchester United captain Harry Maguire has pledged to regain his career this season.
The England international endured a torrid campaign last season when the Red Devils fell to sixth place in the Premier League.
United (open in new tab) only qualified for the Champions League because West Ham (open in new tab) could not beat Brighton (open in new tab) on the last day of the campaign.
Erik ten Hag has received the reins with the aim of restoring the club to its former glories.
He has maintained confidence in Maguire as captain, confirming earlier this month that the bracelet will remain with the center.

Maguire has admitted that his performances weren’t up to par last time, but believes it’s normal to go through sticky patches.
“Last year was definitely a setback for me in my career, but now it’s behind me,” he said in Melbourne, as United continued their pre-season tour.
“We look forward to the future and for this club to win trophies again, which is what it’s all about.
“Last year was disappointing, as an individual I didn’t play well and as a team we certainly didn’t play well.
“But a good race can last 10 to 15 years and you will never have every year where sailing is easy and you have no difficulty. You will have to fight, you will have setbacks.”

Maguire says he has been impressed by Ten Hag during his early weeks working with him.
“It simply came to our notice then. The race has been tough but we look forward to starting the season.
“Everyone, the players, the club, know that last year was not good enough, but it is a new beginning and we have a great season ahead.
“Erik and his coaching staff are contributing their ideas and the first two games, you have seen small samples of the principles.
“We’re working to be ready for the first game of the Premier League, that’s what matters. All we’re doing now is building for that first game.”
