Sony’s two new PlayStation Plus subscription levels now offer a free seven-day trial.
Both the PlayStation Plus Extra options (£ 10.99 / month) and the Premium options (£ 13.49 / month) will now give you seven days to try the service before you are billed.
It’s worth noting that these tests aren’t available separately – basically, you choose to sign up for Extra / Premium through its various monthly / quarterly / annual billing options and you only have seven days free in advance.

Sony’s terms and conditions make it clear that you can cancel your subscription before the trial period expires to prevent them from charging you, although if you do not, you will be added “to an ongoing subscription at a rate recurring subscription that will be charged automatically “until you say otherwise. .
It’s unclear if you can cancel it during the free trial, wait for it to expire, and then sign up for another free trial.
However, if you are not yet a subscriber and there was something you really wanted to play in your catalog for less than a week, this might be an option for you.
