Environment Canada issued a tornado warning for Sarnia-Lambton and Huron-Perth counties on Wednesday afternoon as a powerful storm approaches the region.
Notices apply to Watford, Pinery Park, Eastern Lambton County and Goderich, Bluewater and Southern Huron County.
According to Environment Canada, a severe storm capable of producing a tornado is near Port Franks, Ontario, which is moving east at 80 km / h.
Dangers include possible tornadoes, gusts of wind of 100 km / h and nickel hail.
Meanwhile, tornado surveillance is still in place in several regions of southern Ontario, including London-Middlesex.
Storms that develop in eastern Michigan are expected to affect the area starting this afternoon. Some tornadoes are possible, some of which can be strong.
The highest probability of tornadoes will be in the middle or late afternoon.
