Jesse Lingard has signed a one-year deal with Nottingham Forest after the Premier League newcomers hijacked his proposed move to West Ham United.
The England midfielder was offered an overall package in the region of £200,000-a-week, which is around £50,000-a-week more than what was offered by the east London club, with whom Lingard enjoyed a successful loan early last year.
The 29-year-old is expected to join Forest when they leave for a pre-season tour of Germany on Friday. His package includes a basic salary of around £100,000-a-week, a signing-on fee and bonuses based on his success and does not include an option for an extension.
