The event is expected to introduce a number of software updates and even some hardware from the Cupertino tech giant. Among the big releases, Apple is expected to introduce new Mac hardware along with a redesigned MacBook Air.
According to reports, the event could witness the release of iOS16 with a number of improvements to Apple’s operating system. iPadOS 16 may include enhanced multitasking capabilities, watchOS 9 may have enhanced navigation features, and macOS13 and tvOS 16 may see redesigned applications.
Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, in his newsletter, stated that some “quite significant” updates are expected this time around. Apple also plans to introduce an updated lock screen that will have wallpapers that display information. This is in line with Apple’s plan for the iPhone 13 which was scheduled to include an always-on screen.
According to Gurman, iPadOS 16 will include major updates for multitasking, and tvOS is likely to get more features. In his newsletters, Gurman had said that WWDC 2022 will witness the release of the operating system, iPadOS 16, iOS 16, watchOS 9 and macOS13.
