Batten down the hatches, Perth people.
A cold front is about to sweep the city, bringing even more rain and possible wind gusts of up to 80km/h.
Heavy showers overnight and into Saturday morning preceded a cold front that was expected to move in from late morning and last into the early afternoon.
Streets flooded in Mount Lawley amid heavy rain, with motorists forced to brave a river of water on the corner of Clifton Crescent and Rookwood Street.

Swanbourne has weathered the worst of the deluge to date, recording 40mm, while Jandakot also had a substantial downpour, with 30mm hitting the gauge in the 24 hours since 9am on Friday.
And WA Bureau of Meteorology duty forecaster Luke Huntington said more was on the way.
“The front hasn’t come through yet, but we’ll probably have another 15-20mm when it comes out,” he said.
“It looks like it’s probably going to go through the morning to early afternoon, so it would be the heaviest falls with that and you could get a storm as well.
“We’re not expecting any severe weather, but there could be some decent gusts of up to 80km/h in the storms or showers as it moves through.
“There will still be showers for the rest of the afternoon, but this will be the worst period.”

In good news for farmers, rain should spread across the Wheat Belt, Great South and Southwest with 10-15mm spread.
Things are forecast to be a little less soggy in Perth on Sunday, with showers expected to clear in the early morning.
“Tomorrow during the day will be pretty good and will certainly be mostly sunny, but you’ll get the colder nights back, around single digits 5-7C and it’s looking like a cooler top of 16C for Perth,” he said.
City dwellers have already received 102mm of rain this month and Perth is closing in on the July average of 146mm.
