Police are investigating a frontal crash on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast that left a three-year-old boy with critical injuries and five more injured.
Police say two cars collided on Sunshine Highway near Coolum Beach shortly after 2 p.m. Monday.
The three-year-old has been taken to Queensland Children’s Hospital in Brisbane for treatment.
A 36-year-old man and a three-year-old girl who were also traveling in the car with the boy have been taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in stable condition.
A 38-year-old woman driving the other car and two children aged 12 and four have also been taken to hospital.
The Forensic Accident Unit is calling for anyone who has witnessed the crash or has images from the dashboard to contact police.
