Conservative MPs are denying the loss of the next general election and are caught up in the “Stockholm Syndrome” with Boris Johnson, a senior MP has warned.
Tobias Ellwood said the Conservatives were in a “difficult position” as he urged his colleagues to remove their leader’s psychological dependence after Sue Gray’s Partygate report.
“The party is getting more and more difficult. This will be a test summer, polls now say we could lose 90 seats, “Ellwood, chairman of the defense committee, told Sky News.
