Passed away peacefully at Extendicare Mapleview on July 19, 2022 at the age of 84. She was reunited with her husband, the late Donald James. Beloved mother of Krista Bjornaa (Dave), Kevin Bjornaa (Shannon), Dawn Evans (Greg), Glenn James and Sid James. Loving grandmother of 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Special grandmother to 2 great-grandchildren. Anna will be lovingly remembered by her siblings Carolyn Ainslie (the late Ron), Andy Clark (Cathy) and Agnes Lidstone (Mervyn). She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and family, especially her niece Sonia Lidstone and friend Lori Sackville, whom she called her good girl.
Anna is predeceased by her parents, the late Olaf Sr. and Agnes Bjornaa, as well as brothers Olaf Bjornaa (Iolene), Duane Bjornaa (Joanne) and Allan Bjornaa (Cindy).
Anna was a wonderful and caring person and touched the hearts of those who knew her. He had a heart of gold and a soul to match which he shared many times over the years. We will miss his laugh and smile very much.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Anna’s life will be held at the Rankin Arena (17 Batchewana St, Sault Ste. Marie, ON P6A 5K9) on Thursday, July 28, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
