A weekend of active weather continues into Sunday evening and overnight as tornado-warned storms hit southern Ontario. The daytime heat was opportune for the cold front to produce energy and create thunder, rain, strong winds, and rotating storms.

Tornado warnings were issued for many parts of southern Ontario, including Madoc, Bancroft and Brockville. According to CBC News, the powerful storm has already caused damage in the area around Highway 7 near the communities of Tweed, Madoc and Marmora.
Hydro One said crews were working to restore power to 26,000 customers across the province.
