Brooklyn bishop robbed at gunpoint in middle of church service

CANARSIE, Brooklyn (WABC) — A Brooklyn bishop was robbed at gunpoint in the middle of a church service.

The entire robbery was captured during a live stream.

Bishop Lamor Whitehead says three gun-wielding men robbed him and his wife of hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of jewelry.

It happened around 9:30 am at Leaders of Tomorrow International Ministries in Canarsie.

The bishop says the robbers left in a white Mercedes.

Bishop Whitehead ran for president of the Brooklyn district, but was defeated by Antonio Reynoso.
