The Goonies bit Jeff Cohen looks unrecognizable now

It’s been over 35 years since The Goonies premiered, and now some of its cast members look completely unrecognizable.

In particular, truffle-scene-stirring Chunk, played by the affluent Jeff Cohen, who isn’t the chubby old self he once was, The Sun reports.

The 48-year-old claims he quit acting because he “lost his chubby kid essence” and no one wanted to hire him.

He told MailOnline last year: ‘There were basically about four fat kids in town, so every time there was a fat kid role, you’d see the same people auditioning.

“It was the survival of the fittest. But when I hit puberty, it was career-ending for me. I was going from chunk to hunk and couldn’t get roles anymore.”

Jeff now runs his own law firm and is also an acclaimed writer, having published a book on business in Hollywood and written articles for several major publications.

In addition to his law firm bio that mentions the movie, Cohen often posts about The Goonies on social media, whether it’s memes related to the movie or random Goonies merchandise he’s seen.

Sometimes she also shares old photos from her time as a child star.

After his appearance on The Goonies, Jeff appeared in the TV movie Ask Max and series such as Family Ties.

Although no longer eligible for the show’s awards like an Oscar, Cohen won industry recognition with his mention in Variety’s Dealmakers Impact Report.

He later contributed to publications such as The Huffington Post and Backstage, and authored The Dealmaker’s Ten Commandments: Ten Essential Tools for Business Forged in the Trenches of Hollywood in 2015.
