The preschooler was taken by air ambulance helicopter to the Royal Children’s Hospital.
A G8 Education spokesperson says “the care, safety and wellbeing of children in your care is the highest priority”.
“The team followed our emergency procedures, immediately called an ambulance and contacted the boy’s family,” they said.
“Our thoughts are with the boy and his family and we will continue to offer our support.”
The child is in stable condition.
