Central Okanagan Search and Rescue volunteers have been called to 10 incidents in the past two weeks.
Shortly after midnight on Sunday, the RCMP called COSAR to help find and locate a missing teenage girl on the autism spectrum.
The family was camping at a local camp when the girl moved away from the area.
Along with police, 14 COSAR members attended and searched the campsite and surrounding area.
The girl was located around 2 a.m. by family members.
Just 12 hours later, paramedics called for search volunteers to help evacuate an injured motorcyclist along a horseback trail in the area of the Bear Lake Forest Service Highway. The rider was taking part in an organized dirt bike event when he had an accident that resulted in a serious arm injury.
Before COSAR could reach the scene, they were called off because the medical team at the event evacuated the injured man while waiting for the ambulance.
COSAR is now in 35 calls of the year.
