SEGA has released a first look at the gameplay of the upcoming Sonic Frontiers, showing a drastic exit from the 3D Sonic games of yesteryear.
The mockery comes ahead of a one-month exclusivity deal with IGN that will begin in June. We will have more game revelations, practical impressions of the game and interviews with the creators. I hope there is a release date too!
The game itself seems to have an awesome open world, not entirely different from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild in 2017. Sonic is currently the only character that has been shown, but we would be surprised if they do not appear in any moment as Tails and Knuckles. We also have a brief overview of some of the enemies in the game, along with various means of traversal.
