A motorcyclist was seriously injured after colliding with a car in the early afternoon. The traffic monitoring website, Inrix, reported that the incident is causing traffic delays.
Police were called to the scene at A3073 in Bude at 4 p.m. Both an ambulance and an air ambulance were also present and the male motorcyclist has been taken to Derriford Hospital.
A Devon and Cornwall spokesman said: “This is serious. Police received a call at 4pm today, May 31, after a collision between a motorcycle and a car at the intersection of Thorn Cross / Kings Hill, Bude.
“An ambulance and an air ambulance are on the scene. The motorcyclist has been seriously injured and is being transported to Derriford. Closures are underway on the A39 / crossing with Kings Hill / Box’s Shop.”
Inrix reports: “A3073 in both directions blocked, queuing by accident, a car and a motorbike involved between the A3072 Stratton Road and the A39”.
