Games IGN IGN Themes Lord of the Rings: Gollum finally has a release date

Daedalic Entertainment has announced that The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will be released this September.

The next story-stealth game will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S on September 1st. A Nintendo Switch version is also planned, which is expected to be released later in 2022.

Playing as Gollum, you’ll explore Middle-earth just before The Fellowship of the Ring, searching for the only ring you lost to Bilbo Baggins as he tried to stay out of the clutches of the dark lord, Sauron. Well-known faces are promised, as well as a system in which you have to decide which of the dual personalities of the character is taken away in the important decisions; or Gollum or Smeagol.

The Lord of the Rings: Gollum was first announced in 2019 and was slated for release in 2021, but was later delayed until 2022. Based on Tolkien’s books and not Peter Jackson’s films , developer Daedalic promises a “prince of Persia”. stealthy game with a branched narrative.
