A man looking for Frisbees on a Florida lake was killed Tuesday by an alligator, according to authorities and the media.
Citing a press release from the Largo Police Department, the Tampa Bay Times reported that the 47-year-old man is believed to have entered Lake Taylor in John S. Taylor Park in Largo, north of St. Petersburg, to recover. the frisbees. when the attack happened around 9:30 p.m.
According to the newspaper, police initially thought the man had drowned, but an alligator was seen nearby, so the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission responded to the scene.
WTSP-TV reported that FWC confirmed that the man was bitten by an alligator and then died.

According to the newspaper, an alligator was called, but no alligators had been captured since noon.
