The body of a boater, missing since Tuesday after going fishing from Port Burwell, has been found.
Ontario Provincial Police say the body of Jack Glaves, 58, of Tillsonburg was found in Lake Erie, 11 kilometers south of Port Bruce, shortly after 7pm on Friday.
Glaves was reported missing Tuesday night after he failed to return to Big Otter Marina in Port Burwell.
Glaves’ 21-foot Striper boat was found Thursday across the lake off the shores of Madison, Ohio. There was no one on board.
The OPP’s underwater search and recovery unit, along with members of the Elgin and Norfolk County OPP marine units, found the body amid reports that they were tracing the last movements of their vessel.
