Police were also spotted in the area in the early hours of the day, but it is unclear if the two incidents are related.
Robert Bratvold, Sask Director of Education. Rivers School Division, confirmed that schools in the area were in “perimeter blockade”, meaning that classes continued as usual, but the children did not go out to play.
No threats were made to any school, and the measure was taken as a precaution.
