The star praised Ingram as “a brilliant actor” and “a brilliant woman”, calling her “absolutely amazing” in the series.
“It contributes so much to the series, to the franchise, and it hurt me to know that this had happened,” he continued.
“I just wanted to say, as the main actor in the series, as the executive producer of the series, that we are with Moses.
“We love Moses. And if you send him messages of harassment, you are not Star Wars fan in my mind. There is no place for racism in this world. And I’m totally with Moses. “

Ingram, who plays the villain Reva Sevander in the Disney + series, revealed that racist messages and comments had been sent to him on social media. She shared screenshots in her Instagram stories.
“There’s nothing anyone can do about it,” the 29-year-old said in a video.
“There is nothing that anyone can do to stop this hatred.
“I ask my purpose even to be here in front of you saying this is happening. I really don’t know.
“What bothers me is this feeling inside me, that no one has told me, but this feeling that I have to shut up and take it, that I have to smile and endure it. And I’m not built that way.
“Then I wanted to come and thank the people who come for me in the comments and places where I will not put myself. And for the rest of you, you’re weird. “
He Star Wars franchise shared its support for Ingram on Twitter.
“If someone wants to make you feel somehow unwanted, we only have one thing to say: we resist,” the account tweeted.
“There are more than 20 million sensitive species in the Star Wars galaxy. Don’t choose to be racist.”
