Ryan Fitzpatrick sends a text message to teammates with an apparent retirement message

NFL quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick seems to be retiring.

Although Fitzpatrick has not made a formal announcement, he sent a text message to teammates with a very long list of names of players he has played with, along with the words, “Always grateful for the magical journey.”

Fred Jackson, one of the colleagues who received the text, posted it on Twitter with his own message of thanks for Fitzpatrick.

“Congratulations on Helluva’s career, Fitzy !! I loved sharing the field with you !! Thanks are mine !!” Jackson wrote.

Fitzpatrick started the game as a quarterback for nine different NFL teams: 53 starters for the Bills, 27 for the Jets, 20 for the Dolphins, 12 for the Bengals, 12 for the Texans, 10 for the Buccaneers, nine for to the Titans, three to the Rams and one to Washington.

Fitzpatrick, 39, finished his NFL career with 34,990 passing yards, 223 touchdowns and 169 interceptions.
