Storms could slow the performances of Queen, Alicia Keys and Diana Ross at this weekend’s Jubilee concert at Buckingham Palace.
People in central London have so far enjoyed a warm, dry climate, but the Met Office is considering posting a weather warning for Saturday.
In the evening, in the south of England, there is a chance of heavy showers and possibly thunderstorms and could last until Sunday.

“Southern areas are likely to see a period of showers on Saturday and Sunday, which could sometimes become heavy and thunderous,” said Met Office deputy meteorologist Rebekah Sherwin.
“However, there will also be some ruptures in the cloud right here, and the northern areas are more likely to stay well and dry.”
Simon Partridge, also of the Met Office, said there was still not enough confidence to issue a warning, but that it would be reviewed on Friday “simply by the number of people waiting in the capital on Saturday night.”
Ten thousand free tickets have been issued for Saturday’s Platinum Party At The Palace, which will be broadcast on the BBC from 7.30pm.
Sir David Attenborough, Emma Raducanu, David Beckham and Stephen Fry will also make appearances, and there will be a recorded performance by Sir Elton John.
Friday is expected to be the warmest day of the four-day Jubilee, with temperatures of 25 ° C (77 ° F) south on Friday.
Higher temperatures are expected to be in the northwest over the weekend.
