Dragon Age 4 is officially called Dragon Age: Dreadwolf

Bioware has officially revealed the title of its upcoming Dragon Age sequel, now called Dragon Age: Dreadwolf.

In a blog post, the studio tells the story behind the name, which should be familiar to anyone who has played Dragon Age: Inquisition:

Alone, the fearsome wolf. Some say he could be an ancient elf god, but some say no. Others say a traitor to his people … or a savior who now seeks to rescue them at the expense of your world. His motives are inscrutable and his methods sometimes questionable, which earns him a deceptive reputation as a deity: a player of dark and dangerous games.

Whether you’re new to Dragon Age ™ stories or have experienced them all, using Solas’s namesake certainly suggests a spectrum of endless possibilities about where things can go. But the core of this, like all previous games, is you. If you’re new to Dragon Age, you don’t have to worry about not knowing our antagonist yet. It will be presented correctly when the time is right, but we hinted at its return when we announced #TheDreadWolfRises in 2018.
