An elderly man has died in hospital after being hit by a car in Alfred Cove on Friday afternoon.
The 83-year-old victim received “serious injuries” after colliding with a Toyota Hilux on Canning Highway around 4:50 p.m.
Police say the man was crossing the highway by a pedestrian cut off in the middle lane when the car, driven by a 52-year-old man, hit the victim after he left a parking lot of a mall near North Lake Road.

St John WA attended the scene and took the victim to Royal Perth Hospital where he later died.
Officers from the Major Accident Investigation Section are now investigating the fatal incident and have asked anyone with a dashboard camera or mobile phone vision to upload the images to their website.
Anyone with information or who saw the Toyota Hilux or pedestrian before the accident is also asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000 or report the information online here.
The fatal crash was just one of the few serious collisions in Perth in the past 24 hours with a young cyclist who also suffered leg injuries in another incident.
The 12-year-old was taken to Fiona Stanley Hospital by ambulance after colliding with a vehicle at Chancery Crescent in Willetton on Saturday morning.
Elsewhere, a car crashed into an electric pole near the intersection of Ocean Reef Road and Joondalup Drive on Edgewater shortly after 10 a.m. Saturday. The falling stick hit the back of another vehicle. No one was seriously injured, but Main Roads and Western Power attended the scene.
