The Toronto Blue Jays have acquired Seattle Mariners quarterback Tyler Keenan in exchange for left-back Ryan Borucki, the team announced Saturday.

Keenan, 23, hit .250 with seven extra-base hits and 14 RBIs in 25 games for High-A Everett. The 6-foot 4 and 250-pound left-footed batsman was selected by the Mariners in the fourth round of the 2020 draft of the first year. He has scored nine homers and 58 RBIs in 89 major league games between first and third base. .
Borucki, 28, has struggled to achieve a 9.95 ERA in 11 outings for the Blue Jays this season. Since making his MLB debut in 2018, Borucki has an 8-9 record with a 4.47 ERA in 75 appearances (19 starters, 56 relays) for the Jays.
