Citing a poll suggesting 27 percent of Conservative voters believe the Prime Minister should resign, the note reads: “No social group trusts him. Even 55 per cent of current Conservatives call him unreliable, while only 25 per cent say he is trustworthy.”
The so-called “fat pig” slipped, even in the minds of patriots, it seemed.
The condemning note predicted: “If he leaves office, he will lead the Party to a substantial defeat in 2024. He will lose seats in the Red Wall (with a majority of less than 10,000) to Labor, and seats in the Blue Wall (majorities up to 20,000) in front the Liberal Democrats.
“At least 160 MPs are at risk (all majorities below 10,000, and majorities facing LD below 20,000). In addition, the tactical vote, so devastating in 1997, is returning and could turn a defeat into a landslide.” .
