During its WWDC 2022 event, Apple announced a bunch of new features on the way for its software platforms, including the ability to edit messages you’ve already sent to its Messages app. Apple’s senior vice president of software engineering, Craig Federighi, announced the changes while talking about iOS 16 updates, adding that users will be able to unsubscribe and mark unread messages for easily revisit them later, covering three of the features most requested by iMessage users.

In the small print of the event’s press release, Apple explains that the ability to edit or cancel the sending of a message will be available for 15 minutes, and once a message is deleted, users can retrieve it. up to 30 days.

Users can edit or retrieve a message up to 15 minutes after sending it, or retrieve recently deleted messages for up to 30 days after deletion.
