We are on the verge of the non-E3 week of 2022, with the main event being the live broadcast of this Thursday’s Summer Game Fest. Prior to the broadcast, however, host Geoff Keighley warned viewers expecting major revelations to “manage your expectations,” saying the event will focus “primarily” on previously announced games.
Speaking during an audio session on Twitter Spaces over the weekend (as transcribed by VGC), Keighley said he was “very excited” about the titles to be presented during Thursday’s Summer Game Fest, but warned to viewers who “set your expectations in terms of megaton shocks you’re waiting for. This isn’t The Game Awards.”
“We have a lot of good things to show you,” he added, “but the buyer is aware of some of the crazy rumors I’m seeing around here in terms of things that people expect to be announced.”
