A man and a woman were pulled over on the road by a hit-and-run driver

A man and a woman were lying on the road after being hit by a hit and run driver.

Police were called to the scene of the crash on Four Acre Drive in Litherland around 3pm on Monday 6 June in the afternoon. Merseyside police said the incident involved a man and a woman who were hit by a silver Ford Focus.

They suffered minor injuries and did not need medical treatment, police said. The driver of the Ford Focus was reported to have left the scene after the crash.

A police spokesman said: “At around 3pm this afternoon, officers were called to report a collision between a man, a woman and a silver Ford Focus on Four Acre Drive. in Litherland, the man and woman suffered minor injuries that did not go away and require medical treatment.

“The driver of the silver Ford Focus has been reported to have left after the collision. Investigations are ongoing and detectives are asking anyone with information to come forward.”
