Emergency services rushed to the scene and found two women who had gone inside the car.
They were assessed and treated for minor injuries at the scene.
The West Midlands Fire Service Highgate crew said: “We often see incidents where a slight change in circumstances, such as direction or time, could have caused a tragedy.
“This #RTC at #BordesleyGreen today was one of them.
“Luckily the pub was closed and the two women in the car were only slightly injured.”
A spokeswoman for the West Midlands Ambulance Service said paramedics had treated the two women for injuries that were not believed to be serious before they were taken to hospital for further checks.
